The Doubt of the Traveler: A Lesson from the Quran
A long time ago, in a distant village, there lived a kind and wise man named Uzair(AS). He loved traveling to different places and always reflected on Allah’s greatness. One day, while journeying through a deserted land, he came across a ruined village. The houses were broken, the streets were empty, and there was no sign of life.
Ruined Village
Uzair(AS) looked around and wondered, "How will Allah bring this place back to life after its destruction?" Though he believed in Allah’s power, a small doubt crossed his mind—he wanted to understand how such a thing was possible.

Uzair(AS) fell into sleep
As soon as this thought came to him, Allah caused Uzair(AS) to fall into a deep sleep—one that lasted for a hundred years! During this time, the village remained unchanged, but something incredible happened.

Fresh Food
When Uzair(AS) finally woke up, he felt as if he had only been asleep for a short while. He looked around and was shocked to see that the ruined village was now full of life—people had returned, houses were rebuilt, and crops were growing. He could hardly believe his eyes!
Then, Allah showed him an even greater sign. The food he had carried with him was still fresh, as if no time had passed, but his donkey had turned to bones!

Allah's Great signs
Then, before Uzair’s(AS) very eyes, Allah brought the donkey back to life, piece by piece, until it stood before him, alive and well.

Uzair(AS) realised
Uzair(AS) now understood the great power of Allah. He bowed his head in humility and said, "Now I know with certainty that Allah can bring the dead back to life!"

Moral of the Story
It is natural to have questions, but when we trust in Allah, He gives us answers in ways we may never expect. Just as Uzair learned, we should always have faith that Allah’s wisdom is beyond our understanding.
