Syed Tanveer Ahmed was born on 5th May 1964 in Bidar, Karnataka. He graduated from University of Agricultural Sciences Bangalore and studied post graduation in Business Management and Administration. He was a student activist during his college days, and served as all India Secretary of Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) for two terms from 1990 to 1995. From 2015 to 2019, he held the responsibility of the JIH Karnataka’s secretary for education.
He is an experienced management and leadership expert with more than 20 years of experience. He was associated with various educational Institutions before taking charge as Director Markazi Taleemi Board. Played a vital role in various educational institutions. He is engaged in various educational activities such as training of teachers, conducting parenting classes, training of management, students counseling and career guidance lectures.
Mr. Tanveer Ahmed has also experienced of the media field. He was the editor of Karnataka Muslims, a fortnightly newspaper which has print and on-line editions. He has passion towards formulating programmes for Islamic upbringing of children. For the purpose he has been publishing an Islamic Monthly Magazine for Children titled “Islamic Quiz” and for girls titled “Nisa”. His more than a hundred articles have been published on various topics including education, learning and on current issues in newspapers and magazines.
He has widely travelled and delivered lectures on various topics of community development in India and abroad.
He has been honoured with various award: Ambedkar Award for the contribution towards Dalit Literature and Sadbhavana Award etc.
