S. Ameenul Hasan

Vice President, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind

Mr. S. Ameenul Hasan was born in Vaniyambadi town of the Tirupattur district, Tamil Nadu on 29th September 1967. He is a prolific speaker and trainer. He is a counselor as well and he provides emotional support and guidance to people having issues in dealing with their anxiety, depression, anger, purposelessness and relationship issues. He is a psychologist and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) trainer. He is a certified NLP trainer and conducts workshops in India and abroad.

Mr. Hasan is a student of Quran. He delivered the entire Tafseer (commentary) of the Holy Quran in 300 lectures during the month of Ramazan in 10 years. Its concluding programme was presided over by Maulana Muhammad Salim Qasmi, former Rector of Darul Uloom (Waqf), Deoband. Maulana Qasmi also released the 10 CDs of this Tafseer lecture series, which is now available on his website with his name. Every Ramazan, he delivers lectures on the Qur’an since 25 years. He had been conducting Qur’an study classes for students in Bangalore since 2006 which is being continued in Delhi as well.

Mr. Hasan studied Civil Engineering (B.E) from the Bangalore University and completed MSc in Psychology from the Madras University.

Mr. Hasan has shared his thoughts through a few books written by him. He delivers around 500 speeches and talks every year over the last three decades in India and abroad. He has trained hundreds of people in leadership, soft skills and personality development. He has also conducted youth development and life management classes in Australia, Japan, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Qatar.

Mr. Hasan was associated with Islamic activism since his childhood. He became member of the Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO) at 18. He was the President of SIO from 1993 to 1995. Being in SIO, he became member of the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind in 1996. He held various responsibilities at the local and state level. He was elected member of the JIH Central Advisory Council in 2007. At present, he is serving Jamaat-e-Islami Hind as its Vice President.
